Course Narrative
This course was an integral step towards finishing my Japanese B.A. Utilizing the research methods of an overarching reading ("The Craft of Research"), I teamed up with a fellow classmate, Albert Zhu, to begin the crafting out our Capstone project through some initial research and a presentation. This of course isn't to leave out the in-class discussions we had concerning the process of crafting the Capstone topic and materials. Senpai's (upperclassmen) Capstone projects were used as examples from which to draw inspiration for our research and survey questions from. On that note, previous Capstone presenters made guest appearances in order to better set us on the right track to conducting the research process. Overall, this course was an excellent means of preparation for the completion of one of the most important graduation requirements of any major, let alone Japanese.
